DevSecOps Engineer – K8s SME

Enquizit is seeking a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer with expertise in technical, operational and security risk analysis and security automation in a Kubernetes environment.

 

Job Description

 

  • Support DevSecOps and Security Automation efforts, focusing on workflow definition and its subsequent codification (i.e., Secure Infrastructure as Code).
  • Experience with securing and deploying applications in a Kubernetes platform
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes security best practices such as Namespaces, CNI, RBAC etc
  • Experience in designing and developing multi-tenant application platform on Kubernetes
  • Experience in publishing and managing helm charts
  • Experience with Kubernetes controllers
  • Experience with AWS EKS
  • Experience with GitOps for cluster management and tools such as Flux
  • Understanding of Istio-Service Mesh and Kubernetes CNI networking plugins such as Calico or Flannel
  • Automate content to be customized to key agency platforms and templated for wider agency or public consumption
  • Work in a DevSecOps model requiring embedded Security Engineers working closely with DevOps Engineers focused on secure software delivery. You will be expected to collaborate closely with DevOps teams and the agency Security Engineering Division to automate and build security into the development of application and system codes.
  • Review proposed security architectures prior to the commencement of the system build (architecture, infrastructure, and code) and/or the start of A&A activities to ensure compliance agency Security Engineering guidelines.
  •  Ensure proposed security architecture or major changes to an existing architecture comply with agency security requirements prior to implementation or redesign and are generally secure by design.
  • Cloud and cloud security experience; experience with code deployments, including management of CI and CD tools with team, in all environments; experience with Scrum/Kanban/SAFe and Agile workflow methodologies; experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible);

 

Level of experience: Senior, 10+ years overall

 

Type of clearance required: Public Trust

 

Must have skills:

 

  • The Lead Security Engineering Specialist shall be responsible for ensuring the quality of all performance under tasks relating to security engineering. The Lead Security Engineering Specialist shall be responsible for all activity related to software testing, incident response and management, forensic analysis, and other emerging enterprise-wide IT challenges.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or greater in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
